RESCUE & FIREFIGHTING

Fire Service
London Southend Airport ’s Fire and Rescue service is fully approved by the CAA. Full 24-hour cover is provided by 20 fully trained aviation fire-fighters supported by three appliances with media capability up to Fire Category 6. As well as providing airport cover, the fire service offers training to cabin crew up to CAP360 and to fire-fighters at low category airfields.

Upgrades for individual requirements are available with one hour’s prior notice.
