London Biggin Hill Airport, long associated with its key role in WW2, is now much more famous with business aviation fliers as the most convenient and efficient way of accessing London. Situated just 12 miles from the heart of the capital, passengers can reach their final destination easily and quickly by road or by helicopter transfer to Battersea
Heliport.

London Southend Airport is a long established regional airport for South East Essex and is the Eastern Gateway to London. A new airport railway station providing fast and frequent train services direct to Stratford (for Docklands and Canary Wharf) and to central London’s Liverpool Street Station will soon provide its passengers with faster door-to-door times inbound to London than most other London airports - and at lower costs.

Regional Airports Limited (RAL) was founded as a privately owned company in 1990 by its Chief Executive, Andrew Walters, and acquired the business and assets of both Biggin Hill Airport and Southend Airport from their respective Local Authorities in April and May 1994.

Today RAL continues to own and operate these two smaller commercial airports each serving London – Biggin Hill in South East London, and Southend Airport, 35 miles to the East and in the Thames Gateway priority Regeneration Zone.
