Special Assistance

London Southend Airport wants every passengers experience to be easy, efficient and simple.

We would advise that passengers with reduced mobility who require assistance contact the airline they are flying with in advance of their flight.

 Car Parking

The car parks for passengers who are flying to and from London Southend Airport are located next to our railway station. There are designated disabled bays within all our car parks and our disabled bays are under 100 paces from our new terminal. Currently we offer a shuttle bus from the car parks to the current passenger terminal before and after take off of the Aer Arann Regional flights. If you require assistance getting on and off the shuttle bus please contact London Southend handling prior to arriving at the airport.  

If you have restricted mobility and wish to park in the short stay car park there are designated parking areas in which you are encouraged to use, also if you require assistance in getting from the car park to the current terminal please contact the Southend Handling team on the below details prior to arriving at the airport.

Railway Station

Our railway station has been designed with easy access in mind. On approach to the station there is a covered walkway which will keep you protected whatever the weather. Once in the station our staff will be more than willing to accommodate you and help you around the station. In order to access the opposite platform there are lifts on both sides on the station. Current Terminal

There are no stairs or escalators within our current terminal building. However if you require assistance with boarding or disembarking the aircraft please feel free to contact Southend Handling before you are due to travel.

New Terminal

When we relocate into our new fly-through terminal your experience will be even easier.
