Rescue & Firefighting Services

London Southend Airport ’s Fire and Rescue service is fully approved by the CAA. Full 24-hour cover is provided by fully trained aviation fire-fighters supported by three appliances with media capability up to Fire Category 6. As well as providing airport cover, the fire service offers training to cabin crew up to CAP360 and to fire-fighters at low category airfields.

The following categories are provided, all times are local:

RFF Category 5 Monday to Sunday from 0700-2130, with Category 6 available at maximum 30 minutes' notice.

RFF Category 1 Monday to Sunday 2130-0700. Upgrades by arrangement with 12 hour's notice.
