Charter Flights

 London Southend Airport is fully equipped to handle private charters. The facility has full on-site fuelling and turnaround capability, complete with catering, cleaning and crew facilities, executive lounge, short and long-term private jet hangarage and helicopter transfers. There is a private helicopter charter operation on-site, with a top specification 109 Grand Helicopter and limousine transfer at both ends.

Flight operations:

Experienced flight operations personnel provide crews and can assist with flight planning, airway slots and any manner of flight information which you require.

Control Authorities:

As a fully licensed port of entry the airport has full time HM Customs and Immigration and Special Branch Officers present throughout operational hours.

Passenger handling:

Southend Handling is the airport’s own fixed based operator with the office located in the passenger terminal. The handling team will look after all of your aircraft, passenger and crew requirements. These include ground transportation, hotel accommodation, inflight catering, laundry, newspapers and any special requirements.

Overnight hangarage:

Many of the hangar owners and operators on the airfield can accommodate aircraft stopping overnight or for short periods. Please feel free to enquire with the Southend Handling team to arrange or for more information.

Aircraft Parking:

London Southend has extensive apron areas for short or long term aircraft parking.

Apron Services:

We offer GPU, de-icing, toiler servicing, portable water, air stairs, and aircraft wash/interior valet.

In-flight Catering:

We are happy to offer a range of exceptional catering suppliers who are familiar with London Southend and our handling team who will be more than happy to place individual bookings on behalf of operators.

Wi-Fi Broadband Access:

The entire terminal complex has Wi-Fi broadband access for appropriately configured laptops, and smart phones.

VIP Lounge:

Arrangements are available for individual lounges for passengers, subject to availability. 

Crew Lounge:

A new crew lounge is located in the passenger terminal next to flight briefing.

Baggage Screening:

London Southend offers 100% baggage screening for hold and hand baggage together with personnel screening through the AMD. We comply with the Department for Transport’s National Aviation Security Programme.

Meeting Rooms:

Lounges and meeting rooms can be hired, with catering, by prior arrangement.

Hotels:

The handling team can arrange for passenger and crew accommodation in nearby hotels. The airport is in the process of constructing a four star hotel close to the new passenger terminal, which is due to be completed in summer 2012, prior to the Olympics
