Aircraft Noise Restriction & Maximum Size

Maximum Aircraft Size
London Southend can accommodate aircraft up to Boeing 757 size when positioning empty for positioning and overhaul. The present runway length enables passenger operations by the Bae 146 family of aircraft but when our new runway extension is complete we will allow for the A320 family and the boeing 737 family similar to those which are flown by easyJet.

Aircraft Noise Restrictions
London Southend Airport has agreed with the Planning Authorities and the Consultative Committee that as the airport grows it will introduce a range of controls that limit noise, particularly at night and introduce a Noise Measurement System.
